Readers can’t get enough of the #1 New York Times bestselling author.
A favor for Jason, vampire hunter Anita Blake’s werewolf lover, puts her in the center of a fullblown scandal that threatens master-vampire Jean- Claude’s reign—and makes her a pawn in an ancient vampire queen’s new rise to power.

Customer Rating: Summary: Waste of money, trashy, etc... Comment: If I could, I would give Blood Noir zero stars. This book is horrible. I agree with some of the other postings that this book isn't even work the paper or ink it is printed on. The sex was too much and disgusting. This is the first Laurel K. Hamilton book I have read and will certainly be the last.
Customer Rating: Summary: Giving up on this series... Comment: I've read all of the Anita Blake series by LKH, including novellas and am pretty much giving up on them. I miss the stories actually having a sustainable plot that engages me instead of trite overdone and boring sex scenes and characters' angst over drivel. The first books in the series are quite good but the quality has most definitely declined to the point that I'm bored trying to finish them.
I am enjoying Christine Feehan's Dark Series and Ghostwalker series, Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan, Patricia Briggs's Mercy Thompson & Alpha/Omega, Eileen Wilkes's World of the Lupi, etc 200% more than LKH now. These writers truly grab my attention where as it seems LKH is just phoning it in.
Customer Rating: Summary: Lamest Book Ever Comment: Blood Noir was very thin on plot. I regret purchasing this book. The Anita Blake series has been going downhill since NIC. I won't bother going in depth on how much this book sucked since everyone did so much more eloquently than I ever could. I had completely given up hope that this series would get back on track and the only reason I read BN was to see how bad LKH's writing can get. Everytime I think she can't possibly get any worse she always does. I will never buy another LKH book.
Customer Rating: Summary: OMG How This Sux Comment: I will just keep it short, they could just as well have just called it "Anita Does Everybody" and shelved it under porn. God I miss the series I started reading, I am gonna cancel my pre-order of the next book. I only got about 25% through this one before I gave up! This series has been dead for a long time.
Customer Rating: Summary: Where in the world is Anita Blake Comment: What happened to the Anita Blake we all knew and loved? What happened to the other characters who are not recognizable anymore? I got bored with the series after Blue Moon. Too much mindless sex and not enough plot. Sexual tension is fine, but for Pete's sake give it a rest and give us back the old Anita. Anita seems to be "on her back" enough times to make Xaviera Hollander proud. I'm really not sure how she manages to have time to save the day. I can't get through a Laurel K. Hamilton book these days without lots of eye rolling, several "Oh, you've got to be kidding me's" and many, many "What, agains?".
If you are into orgies every second page and worthless plots that go nowhere, then these last 8 books are for you. Me? I'd rather take a beating with a hardback copy of War and Peace.
